Tyler Young is an experienced personal injury attorney, who maintains an of counsel relationship with DKOW. Tyler was recently elected to serve as President of the Utah State Bar Association. Tyler was previously elected to serve two terms on the Utah State Bar Commission and served on multiple committees, including the Ethics Advisory Opinion Committee and the Admissions Committee. He is also a managing board member of the Utah Association for Justice (formerly known as the Utah Trial Lawyers Association), where he contributes to the Amicus Committee and others. Tyler received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah before obtaining his law degree from Oklahoma City University in 2006. After graduating, he returned to Utah to join his father’s successful legal practice, where he became an integral part of the team. Tyler’s commitment to education and his desire to share his legal expertise have led him to chair several continuing legal education conferences including the Utah Association for Justice bi-annual Brain Injury Conference, the Utah Association for Justice Annual Conference, and teaching American Jurisprudence to Ukrainian college students on two occasions with the Leavitt Institute in Kiev, Ukraine. He has also had successful appeals to the Utah Court of Appeals and the Utah Supreme Court.
Outside of his legal practice, Tyler is a devoted father, passionate bow hunter, and successful small business owner. He is also deeply involved in community service through his active participation in the Springville Rotary Club, where he served as president from 2011 to 2012.
